Fisher's Ghost Youth Orchestra operates multiple ensembles.  Rehearsals are held at Harrington Park Community Centre on Thursday evenings.  Enquire today to see which best suits your child.  Please note our rehearsals are currently being run in accordance with COVIDsafe requirements.

The Training Orchestra provides an exciting opportunity for young and new musicians to take their first steps into ensemble performance. The music selection less complex and more appropriately themed for newer musicians. The Training Orchestra rehearses each Thursday evening during school term from 5:30PM to 6:30PM.  

The more advanced musicians of the Training Orchestra are invited to sit in on Senior Orchestra rehearsals. This provides them a stretch opportunity to develop as musicians.

The Senior Orchestra caters for more experienced players and covers music which can be much more challenging but rewarding. The Senior Orchestra rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:45PM to 8:15PM.

If you (or your children) play an orchestral instrument, we are always looking for new members and would love to have them join with us. Please contact us for more information.

Fees for 2023 are $360/year, with an Early Bird rate valid until 28 February, and a $30 sibling discount for each child where 2 or more members of the same family choose to join at the same time.  Third and subsequent children may join any ensemble free of charge.
Fees contribute to the cost of running the orchestra including rehearsal venue hire, public liability, volunteers and equipment insurance, cost of musical scores, as well as conductor and musical director fees and fees for special guest tutors.

FGYO is a Creative Kids provider.  Each year, you may redeem your Creative Kids voucher for a $100 reduction in participation fees.  If you pay the year in full early and redeem your Creative Kids voucher, the total payment for annual participation is $230, which equates to less than $4 an hour.
